Can We Live Without Having Wires Connecting Us
In 1990, we may have thought that we were at the pinnacle of technological development. Many documents and communications were created and completed using personal computers, CD players allowed us to take our music on the go, and some of our devices were even rechargeable. All of these were fine advancements for their time, but this is the twenty-first century. Where are the flying cars, and why are we still walking everywhere? While we still have to wait to realize The Jetsons, we can at least improve upon those inventions of the 90s.
Specifically, we can remove the wires. Laptop computers and smartphones have already allowed us to take our work on the go, but what about headphone wires and power cables? We can get rid of those, too. For a modest price, consumers can purchase headphones unattached to their music-playing devices, allowing total freedom of movement, and recent advancements in battery technology allow us to recharge our gadgets without plugging them in. Just imagine the world we might live in if everything were without wires and every surface we touched were constantly charging our wireless devices. Such may be the case long before flying cars fit in our briefcases.
